Does anyone Know if the state has unlimited time to schedule an ALR hearing after it has been requested? Last year I was able to get the ALR hearings done before disposition of the criminal case. Now I am getting dismissals on the criminal case before an ALR hearing. Does anyone suspect that the state may be delaying the ALR hearings to make it harder to prepare for the criminal cases. Have DA's possibly been asking for delay so that we don't get a shot at the witnesses before the criminal hearings or trial?

My son-in-law was charged with dwi first offense. His lawyer requested an ALR within a few days of the arrest.Lawyer never heard from DPS called to see when it was scheduled and found out license was suspended for 90 days with no notification. After 90 days passes can my son-in-law get his license back? He's driving on a 30-day judge's order now.Went to DPS office said he has to pay $11 at end of 90 day suspension and then $125 when license renewal next occurs. He's charged not convicted.

At my hearing the judge rendered no contest and placed no restrictions on my driving priveledges due to the fact the accident report was in error. It stated that "that I possibly blacked out" which was not the case. I BUMPED THE AUTO AHEAD OF ME AT A STOP LIGHT. MY BLOOD PRESSURE SPIKED BE CAUSE I HAD TAKEN MEDICATION FOR SOME TIME BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS UNDER CONTROL. THAT HAS BEEN CORRECTED. THE OFFICER HAS STATED THAT HE COULD NOT CHANGE HIS REPORT BUT COULD CONTACTED BY THE JUDGE. hE ALSO STATED THAT HE DID NOT KNOW AT THE TIME THE CAUSE, ONLY THAT IT WAS MEDICAL REASONS, HE ALSO REMEMBERS SPEAKINGTO ME WHEN ASKING FOR MY INSURANCE AND LICSENSE .tHAT IS THE REASON HE SAID "POSSIBLY". I was not asked any questions everything was assumed. The judge examined all of my health records , including a current physical, complete eye exam., plus the officers statement. after all of this I recieved a notice of revocation from DPS. I HAVE LOST RESPECT FOR THIS SYSTEM, WHERE IS THE DUE PROCESS? I FEEL LIKE I HAVE WASTED MY TIME. I HAVE A SON WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE THE SYSTEM WORKS, NOW HE IS TOTALY CONVINCED IT DOES NOT. I HAVE NEVER RECIEVED A TICKET NOR HAD A ACCIDENT UP TO THIS TIME. I AM 67 YEARS OLD AND HAVE CHURCH 30 MILES FROM HERE WHICH I MUST ATTEND REGULARLY.
